John McQuater, partner and head of litigation, this month celebrates 30 years of service with Atherton Godfrey.  

When John qualified as a solicitor in 1983 – you could get a full GALLON of petrol for £1.25, not just a couple of pints!

• He is a member of both the Clinical Negligence Accreditation and the Personal Injury Accreditation Schemes operated the Law Society

• He is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), with accredited status as a Fellow and served as APIL president from 2009-2010

• He provides professional training to other legal practitioners on a wide range of clinical negligence and personal injury claim topics

• He is an accomplished author having written for APIL, several Law Journals and The Times

• His media work includes BBC Daily Politics Show, BBC Look North, Radio 4 and local radio
