Stephanie graduated from Leicester University with a BA Honours degree in Classical Studies (Ancient History). After working in London, she embarked on a law conversion course before successfully completing her solicitors’ finals.

 

During her training, and immediately following qualification, she worked in the Health Department for a firm which specialised in defendant personal injury and clinical negligence litigation. She joined Atherton Godfrey’s Litigation Department in January 2000 and became an associate in 2003 and a partner in 2009.

 

Stephanie has experience of dealing with a variety of claims arising from road traffic accidents, accidents at work, slips and trips and clinical negligence. She belongs to both the Sheffield Medico-Legal Society and the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers, where she has accredited status as a Senior Litigator.

 

She has also taught law at Sheffield Hallam University, as an associate lecturer, on the Torts, Business Law and Law Clinic modules.

 

Stephanie also provides some departmental training and has shared responsibility for Human Resources.
