Atherton Godfrey shortlisted for national award

We are very proud to say that we have been shortlisted for a prestigious national award aimed at recognising excellence in the legal sector.

Atherton Godfrey has been nominated in the Best Recruiter  category of the Training and Recruitment Awards (TARA’s) organised by London based online training and recruitment specialists, LawCareers.Net.
The awards are a highly sought after accolade for law firms as the nominations come as a result of feedback from around 3,000 trainees and newly qualified solicitors. It’s these opinions that gives a picture of the best performing organisations throughout the UK.
To be shortlisted, firms have to provide clear evidence that their recruitment process is fair and transparent and that applicants are kept well informed throughout the process.
Diane Parker, partner and head of the Personal Injury department is also the firm’s training principal. She said: “We have a robust recruitment and training policy. It’s essential that we recruit those with the right skills and attitude needed to excel in the legal profession. We look for trainees who have the ability to be at the top of their game; being a good solicitor is as much about providing excellent client care as it is about having expert legal knowledge.”
Atherton Godfrey has an enviable reputation amongst personal injury law firms with its high standard of training being recognised nationally. Training placements are always highly sought after. There are currently five trainees at various stages of their training contracts, with a  further two joining the firm within the next few months.
The award ceremony will be held in London on 19 May.
Atherton Godfrey was recently shortlisted in the Excellence in Training and People Development category of the Doncaster Chamber Business Awards.
