BIG BIKE DAY comes to town

The BIG BIKE DAY aims to help cyclists get from A to B more safely and features a free Doctor Bike, training sessions, police bike secruity tagging, family cycle challenges and cycle route planning tips.
Also on offer will be puncture repair workshops where you can learn tips from the professionls, a bike corner where you can sell your old bikes and a sure fire crowd pleaser will be the extreme stunt cycling performances by Britain’s Got Talent performer, Joe Oakley. 
Diane Parker, partner and the head of our personal injury department, said: “Cycling is an excellent way of keeping fit and can be enjoyed by all the family. However, we are only too award of the nature of cycling accidents and as such, we are keen to be involved in inititatives to improve cycle safety and raise safety awareness”.
Team GB’s outstanding success at last year’s Olympics has reportedly inspired around 200,000 Britons to start cycling regularly.
Rebecca Davis, Sustrans’ Bike It Officer for Doncaster, who is organising the event, said: “Cycling is a cheap, clean, healthy way to get around and we hope this event encourages more people to hop onto two wheels”.
The BIG BIKE DAY is on Saturday 22 June, 10.30am to 3.30pm at Bessacarr Primary School, Ellers Avenue (DN4 7DT) – hope to see you there!
