Compensation was recovered for a worker who suffered a tuft fracture to his thumb in an accident at work. The client was working on a conveyor when his colleague’ crowbar slipped and crushed the tip of his thumb against the conveyor belt.
He was given first aid on site before going to A&E at Doncaster Royal Infirmary where the wound was dressed and the client given antibiotics.
Liability was admitted and an out of court settlement agreed.
