Fast Track for Cash

Gillian Ward and Lisa Hickin, both personal injury solicitors with Atherton Godfrey, will take to the track and run alongside celebrities in the Adidas Half Marathon at Silverstone on Sunday 11 March, in an effort to help raise £1,000 for the Child Brain Injury Trust.
The 13-mile event is staged by the same team that brings the London Marathon to life each year and regularly attracts thousands of entrants raising money for their own particular charity.
Both Gillian and Lisa have wanted to enter a race for a while now and this event presented them with a challenge they were very keen to take on.

Gillian said: “Being able to run for the Child Brain Injury Trust makes it even more worthwhile.
“We’re so excited to be involved and we know that every penny raised will go towards helping children and their families deal with the devastating effect of brain injury.”

Lisa added: “The race has given us something to aim for running-wise too. We’re both a little nervous as the distance is longer than either of us has run before but we are determined to do well.”
Gillian and Lisa will be joining a team put together by the father of William Stones, a little boy who suffered a brain injury in 2010, as a thank you for the support the Trust gives to his family.
