Getting pretty muddy for Cancer Research

Very well done to Atherton Godfrey’s ‘mudders’ Rebecca Wharton, Lucy Baker, Rebecca Bell, Claire Ramos, Sue Barnes, Stacey Powney and Rachel Wilkins, who took part in Race for Life’s Pretty Muddy in Clumber Park on 30th June.

These very adventurous ladies braved the heat on a scorching day to raise around £750 for Cancer Research by running, crawling, climbing and charging over the 5k – very muddy – obstacle course. As you can see – it looks like they enjoyed it too!

Your colleagues at Atherton Godfrey are very proud of you!

Cancer is happening right now. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, but survival rates have doubled over the last 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further. Your contribution can help Cancer Research UK improve results even faster, so if you wish to make a donation to our team, and Cancer Research, you can still do so online at
