Legal boost for local cancer patients

Employees from around the firm set themsleves the challenge of running just over 13 miles in a bid to raise vital funds for Aurora, the local charity dedicated to helping local people.
The team spent several months training before heading to Nottingham to tackle the half marathon course that wound itself around some of the City’s most iconic landmarks.
The firm’s senior partner, Charles Godfrey who also ran in the race, was delighted to join some of the team to present the charity with a cheque for £803.50.
Charles said: “It was pretty hard going, particularly the last two miles, but it was well worth the effort.
“Well done to all the team and a big thank you to everyone who sponsored us.”
Peter Bradley, Aurora campaign manager said: “This is a terrific amount of money that really does make a huge difference to our charity and to the patients that we help to support.
“Since the beginning of the year Atherton Godfrey has raised in excess of £6,000 which is a tremendous amount of money and along the way the Atherton Godfrey team and the Aurora team have created some great new friendships that we hope to build on in the future.”
