Make sure your will does what you intend it to

A recent survey of 60 Will writers, published by the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP), confirms that the average price of making a standard single will in the UK has fallen over the last year.  This includes those providing online services. Unfortunately, the survey doesn’t mention the quality of the service or advice given.

Vicky Sladdin, solicitor in the Wills and Probate department at Atherton Godfrey solicitors, said: “Making a Will is one of the most important documents you can make.

Although price may be a consideration, ensuring you are properly advised, and that the Will is correctly drafted is the most important thing.

By interacting with your client and finding out about their personal and financial circumstances, we can ensure that their Will is tailor made to their needs, and it enables us to advise about what they should consider including in their Will.

We offer a fixed fee service for a straight forward Will/Wills at competitive rates, we are fully regulated and can usually complete your Will within seven days of receiving final instructions. We will also store the Will free of charge in our secure Deeds Store.”
