MASS Support for Personal Injuries

Gillian Ward, Kelly Homar and Rosie Dodds represented the firm and took the opportunity to meet key people in the Personal Injury sector and to find out the latest industry developments.
MASS is a national association of solicitors, which was formed in 1991 to represent the victims of road traffic accidents. The society is non-profit making and all members are experts in road accident and personal injury claims.

Over the last 20 years, MASS has tirelessly campaigned against uninsured driving to protect the accident victim and for a ‘zero tolerance’ approach to be adopted.
Around 20% of uninsured drivers are between 17-20 years leading MASS to also campaign for better education of young drivers on the importance and legal requirements of motor insurance.

Did you know?
One in 20 drivers on our roads is uninsured. They may have a free ride, but the cost to the law abiding motorists is around £500 million each year – paid for of course through increased insurance premiums.
It’s a huge problem – with around 194,000 convictions for driving without insurance – that’s 1 conviction every 3 minutes!

What to do if hit by an Uninsured Driver
If you are involved in an accident and the other driver is uninsured, you will need specialist legal advice as these claims are much more complex. Atherton Godfrey regularly handles these types of claims and can assure you of the highest level of support.
