New domestic violence hotline launched in Doncaster

The free service, which will complement the already existing support network, is operated by Riverside Housing and can be used to access vital help, including emergency accommodation and a floating support service.  The hotline can also be used by abusive partners who want to make lasting changes to their behaviour. The ground breaking service called ‘Chance2Change’, the first of its kind in Doncaster, is being offered as part of a wider approach to try and tackle abuse at an early stage. Jayne Kirtley, Legal Executive, at Atherton Godfrey said: “Services of this nature are crucial and very much welcomed for victims of this horrendous, but sometimes unreported, behaviour.”Anyone needing advice on domestic violence can call 0800 4701 505 between 9am and 10.30pm, Monday to Friday.
