Next stop – Channel Islands

John, who is a partner and head of litigation at Atherton Godfrey, has recently completed the UK leg of the APIL Personal Injury Updates for 2013.
The updates, held at locations throughout England and Wales, are important training events in the personal injury calendar, aimed at bringing professionals up to date on the significant changes taking place in the legal sector.
On the back of this highly successful programme, John has now been invited to share his expertise with legal and medical professionals in the Channel Islands.
Jersey and Guernsey each have their own separate legal systems with their own statutes and parliaments. However, the courts there follow the same common law decisions as their counterparts in England and Wales, making it essential for practitioners to be kep up to date on developments.
Besides delivering training, John is an accomplished author and has had articles published in The Times and a wide range of legal guides.
John has a string of accolades to his name, including winner of the Personal Injury Lawyer of the Year award 2011 and recommendations in The Legal 500, Chambers UK directory and the Elite Lawyers guide.
He is an APIL accredited specialist in both clinical negligence and personal injury and also an assessor for the personal injury scheme and a member of the Forum for Complex Injury Solicitors.
