On course for financial success

Tracey Davies, who works as a legal cashier with Atherton Godfrey, will begin her studies towards a legal accounting career after receiving the Barry Hilton Scholarship.

Barry Hilton was one of the founders of the Institute of Legal Financial Managers (ILFM) and one of his passions was the education and advancement of legal accounting staff.

The Barry Hilton Scholarship was introduced as a permanent dedication to his memory after he passed away in 2006 and is a way of helping legal accounts staff to raise standards and advance themselves.

Diane Parker, partner at the firm with responsibility for training said: “Tracey has done extremely well to be selected for the Scholarship. The training and development of all our staff is very important and this Scholarship will allow Tracey to pursue a recognised qualification.”

Tracey said: “I was lucky to be selected and am really looking forward to starting the course next month.

“I have received the Bronze Award which once completed will make me a member of the Institute of Legal Finance Managers.”

The ILFM is the UK’s leading education authority and membership body for legal finance and are dedicated to promoting excellence throughout the legal sector for financial and practice management staff.
