Gillian graduated with a Law & Politics degree in 1997. She worked for the DWP for 2 years before returning to law, and started working in personal injury law, in May 2000, joining Atherton Godfrey in January 2001.
Whilst at Atherton Godfrey LLP Gillian has qualified as a CILEX in 2005, became an associate in 2010, and then joined the LLP as a partner in 2017.
Gillian’s role at the firm has been varied. She has experience of running caseloads including industrial disease, employer’s liability, occupier’s liability and trips and slips. Then in 2009 Gillian started to specialise in road traffic accident work in order to set up the RTA Portal which came into force in 2010. Gillian continues to manage this team, whilst also running a caseload of litigated and disputed road traffic accident cases.
Gillian is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) with accredited status as senior litigator.
Outside of work Gillian’s interests include scruffy terrier dogs, photography, interior design, walking and running.
