Richard, who qualified as a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 1991, has been dealing with family disputes for over 20 years.

He joined Atherton Godfrey following 12 years with a leading firm of solicitors in Wakefield, where he dealt solely with family disputes.

Richard has experience in all aspects of relationship breakdown, including divorce and linked financial matters, as well as disputes regarding child residence and contact, non-molestation orders, occupation orders and property disputes between unmarried couples.

Outside work, Richard enjoys most things mechanical, including cars, machine tools and anything steam powered, as well as industrial history such as canals.
