The firm, which recently celebrated its 35th year in business, has received rankings for both its personal injury and clinical negligence work. In addition, several individual solicitors have also received personal recommendations.
The rankings are the result of extensive research and interviews carried out by The Legal 500, one of the professions leading and most respected publications.Interviews with clients, counsel and peers are a major part of the research programme, which assesses the strengths of law firms throughout the world.
Rankings are also based on the nature of the work undertaken and the range of skills and expertise of both the team and the individual. Atherton Godfrey has over 50 lawyers handling personal injury cases with settlement values in excess of £1m and a wide range of clinical negligence cases including birth injuries and general surgery claims.
Individual recommendations were received for John McQuater, Christopher Noble, Diane Parker and Stephanie Veysey, who are all partners at the firm.
An additional accolade was received by John McQuater, who was also ranked as a Leading Individual for his exceptional litigation skills.
The firm’s senior partner, Don Bird said: “These results are excellent news and recognise the outstanding skill and expertise within the teams. “I would also like to say a sincere thank you to all the clients who took part in the research; their involvement is very much appreciated and is an essential part of the ranking criteria.”
