Help and advice for hospital patients

Hospitals are large and busy places and if you have a problem or a question it can sometimes be difficult to know who to ask or where to go for help.

PALS is the Patient Advice and Liaison Service, set up by the NHS to provide patients and their families with a point of contact. It is a free and confidential service that can be accessed in most hospitals.

They can help with:-

-questions
-concerns
-problems
-information
-suggestions

They can also help you make a complaint.

You can contact your local hospital to find details of the local PALS and most hospital websites now have information on their own PALS office. They can be contacted by telephone, letter, email or sometimes you can drop by.

By using PALS to address any questions or problems you get the benefit of addressing the issues straight away and hopefully finding a positive resolution quickly.

However, if you have a complaint about the standard of medical treatment you or a relative have received and you have not been able to resolve this to your satisfaction, we may be able to help. We have a number of solicitors who specialise in looking at medical treatment and we can advise you on whether you could pursue matters further and if so, how to go about it.

Contact us on 01302 320621 for a confidential, no obligation discussion and see how we might be able to help.
