PALS is the Patient Advice and Liaison Service, set up by the NHS to provide patients and their families with a point of contact. It is a free and confidential service that can be accessed in most hospitals.

You can contact your local hospital to find details of the local PALS and most hospital websites now have information on their own PALS office. They can be contacted by telephone, letter, email or sometimes you can drop by.
By using PALS to address any questions or problems you get the benefit of addressing the issues straight away and hopefully finding a positive resolution quickly.
