Qualifying Trainees Happy to Take Instructions

Two more of the firm’s trainees have now qualified and are happy to take instructions.

Janine Lawton, a graduate of the University of York, joined the firm as a trainee solicitor in 2008 after completing her post-graduate legal studies at BPP Law School in Leeds.

Janine has done a wide range of work for the firm including employment, personal injury and family law. Having now fully qualified as a solicitor, Janine is currently working in the firm’s litigation department, working on personal injury and employment law cases.

Nigel Wood, a graduate of the University of Leeds, joined the firm in 2010 as a trainee solicitor and now works in the firm’s clinical negligence department, alongside the head of department Christopher Noble, dealing with cases where individuals need legal support having suffered at the hands of trained medical professionals.

As a direct result of trainees Janine and Nigel becoming qualified solicitors, the firm now employs 24 solicitors. This is quite an achievement for a local law firm that started off with just 2 partners and a handful of staff.
