The firm has been nominated in both Best Recruiter and Best Trainer categories of the prestigious legal awards organised by online training and recruitment specialists LawCareers.Net
The firm’s senior partner Charles Godfrey will head to the City of London for the awards ceremony which is to be held at the top of the 180m tall iconic ‘Gherkin’ building on 24 May.
The awards are particularly important as the law firms are nominated by the trainee solicitors themselves and recognise the training principals that are leading the way in the legal sector.
To be shortlisted firms have to demonstrate that their recruitment process is fair and transparent and that applicants are kept well informed throughout the process.
And there must be clear evidence that the trainees are given the appropriate support, encouragement and mentoring to be able to reach their full potential.
Lindsey Gaimster who is training with us said: “I was very happy to nominate Atherton Godfrey. I have received an amazing amount of support from the partners who have all shown an interest in my training and development. I have had the opportunity to work on interesting and complex cases, undertaking tasks that I never thought I would experience as a trainee.”
Charles Godfrey said:” I am very pleased that the high quality of our training and recruitment programmes is recognised with these nominations.
“Several of our firm’s partners actually began their legal careers as trainees with Atherton Godfrey, one of whom recently won a Lawyer of the Year award and I think this is a further illustration of the standard of training we have provided for more than thirty years.”
The high standard of entries is acknowledged by the event organisers who said: “Every category is hard fought with most decided on a hair’s breath.”
