If so, new regulations came into effect from 11 January 2015 that means an order made to provide protection against domestic abuse in one EU member state is now recognised and enforced in another. This is excellent news for anyone who has been granted an order or injunction and then travels to another member state.What is a protective measure?A protective measure is an order, regulation or a prohibition, made by the court or other issuing authority of the member state with a view to protecting a person from risk of harm from another person, whether that be physical or psychological.
