Use a little will power

After last year’s very successful Will Aid campaign which throughout the UK raised over £2million, the firm is again giving their support by offering the opportunity to have a simple Will professionally drafted without charging a fee.
In an effort to raise as much money as possible, throughout November they will draw up basic Wills in return for a donation to the Will Aid charities. The suggested donation level is £90 for a single basic Will, £135 for a pair of Wills.
The money raised will be shared by nine of the UK’s best known charities all of whom work to transform the lives of people in the UK and around the world: ActionAid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save the Children, Sightsavers, SCIAF (Scotland) and Trocaire (N. Ireland).
James Sutherland, partner and head of the firm’s Wills and Probate Team, said: “The generosity of our clients helped us to raise over £5,000 last year.
“Making a Will is not something that most people relish doing, but our staff are highly experienced and will guide people through the process as swiftly as possible.”
Will Aid organisers say: “It is surprising that fewer than half of people have made a Will. Most say they simply haven’t got around to it and yet it can take years to sort out someone’s estate if they die without a Will, leaving their nearest and dearest in great distress.”
