The wearing of face masks is no longer mandatory, so why are we asking you to wear a mask when visiting our offices?
We have had a skeleton staff working in the offices throughout the various phases of the pandemic and lockdowns.
We are very proud of the fact that our infection control measures, which have included sanitisation, wearing masks to move round the offices, one-way systems and social distancing, have successfully ensured that there has been no transmission between staff or between staff and clients. We would like to keep it that way.
Atherton Godfrey prides itself on being a diverse and inclusive workplace. As a result, a significant proportion of our staff, for a variety of reasons, can be classed as vulnerable.
Unfortunately, with a rise in infection rates, just as we come to the end of the government’s roadmap, our concern rests with those of our staff who are vulnerable and continue to be so, despite the vaccination programme.
We appreciate that masks are irritating and uncomfortable. However, our view is that they also significantly reduce the transmission of the virus.
We are finally able to open the offices and welcome clients back – we don’t want to find ourselves having to close again because of an outbreak in the offices.
Thank you for your continued support.
